Welcome to the website of erotic romance author Amanda Carrell. I write contemporary, fantasy, futuristic, historical, and paranormal romance novels all with steaming hot love scenes. I've finished several projects and I'm in the process of editing and submitting them to publishers. My first release, The Way To Olympia, will be out February 29, 2008.

| 02-01-08: Release month! |
 In honor of my very first release, February is going to be an exciting time at my website. I'm relaunching my blog today with a fabulous contest (a $25 Amazon gift certificate, for starters!), I'm kicking off Free Book Fridays once again (the last Friday of each month, swing by my blog for a chance at free ebook!) and I'll be chatting about my book, The Way To Olympia.
Speaking of which, that's the lovely cover to the left. Isn't it just absolutely gorgeous? I have the fabulously talented Rene Wilson to thank for the artwork. I couldn't be happier!
On March 15th, I'll be launching my newsletter, so be sure to sign up for that! Each month I'll be giving away a special prize just for subscribers!

| 12-10-07: Long time, no post! |
These past few weeks have been so hectic & draining! Around Thanksgiving I wound up in the hospital and spent several weeks there. This is the first day since I've been home that I've felt like crawling out of the bed and logging on to the 'net.
Long story short, I wound up not completing NaNoWriMo this year because of my little hospital trip, but I did work my way through some of my TBR list! ;)
I actually haven't written anything in about a month, which is the longest stretch I've gone since I started writing full-time. I have been researching several stories, though, and have a nice one percolating on the back burner. The heroine, Ro Cervenka, is just itching to get out and play.
I finally got an email today from my Whispers editor, so The Way To Olympia is now in pre-edits. The whole process is a bit daunting, but fun, too, since it's one step closer to release day!
If you've been expecting an email from me, I should be able to get to that this week.

| 11-01-07: NaNoWriMo! |
 As you can see by my cute little icon, I'm participating in NaNoWriMo this year. This will be my first time, so check in at back here each week throughout the month of November to keep up with my progress!

My story, The Way To Olympia, won 2nd place in Whispers Publishing's Seven Wonders of the World contest. Along with the win, my story was accepted for publication and will be coming out in ebook & print in the next few months.

I haven't forgotten about the contest I've promised to run in celebration of my birthday, it's just been delayed a few days because I've been laid up in bed -- wouldn't you know my back decided to go out on my birthday!
